My blog goes like this, I will give you specific instances or topic then I will refer a book from well known authors that base their beliefs from the will and way God wants us to go. I will also share my own experience toward the subject matter. You can reflect with your own experience by reading certain topic. By the way, I am a 2nd year Filipino student taking up BS-Accountancy here in the Philippines (St. Mary’s College of Tagum), 18 years of age and a Roman Catholic. This blog was being required in our I.T.3 subject.
Lord, draw us out of the weakness of the flesh
This foolish, self favoring self.
Help us to keep keen the edges of our mind
And persevere in thinking straight and true to keep our passions in control.
Take out our senses any perversion and addiction to lust
Any temptation that curdles and corrodes our peace.
Open our eyes to the falseness of earthly attractions
Help us to refuse our own blind appetites
To open the channels for the power of self-denial.
Lord, teach us to overcome.

v Romance with Purity
I was in my 1st year college that time picking needed books in the bookstore when my attention caught a familiar book sitting on a rack. I picked it up and drawn my eyes unto it bringing an image and remembering where I first saw it. After a moment I remembered that this is the book my classmate was funned of reading. I was amused the way she read it. Little by little she seriously took time savoring every page like having an analytical reading. I am curious that time, so I quipped and smiled at her asking if that book really requires careful attention. And I also added,”Oh! Well, that is a romance book, I supposed”. She smiled and said with an encouraging tone, “Well yes! But you know it is much different from other romance books. It can give us ideas and bases how to handle ourselves towards romance and relationship and the good thing is, the author based it from the will of God, “To love others just like God love unto us.
The title of the book was “I Kissed Dating Goodbye” by Joshua Harris. I kept on stating the title on my mind. So it means, “Encouraging us to stop dating?” What I meant was nowadays, “if a person will stop seeing guys, how can he/she find the right person for him/her?” Is he/she will just feel relaxed and wait like being assured, that miss/mr. right will come up?”
That book brought my interest to read it. The very reason of my curiosity is that, the author is a guy. It made me wonder how he gave up dating. We know that majority of men nowadays find dating pleasurable and the worst is others use it just to satisfy themselves and make it a thing to brag about to the others. But this man who wrote that book inspired me even though, that time I haven’t read his book yet.
As I was looking at that book, I found his other published book entitled “Boy Meets Girl” saying hello to courtship. So, now the guy who had said stop to dating now said hello to courtship. I prefer then that time to buy his second book. But other than that, I also bought three romance novels tagalog pocketbook.
When I got home that day, I am so excited to read those romantic novels. So, I read it excessively, faster than I could because honestly, I was being hooked to different kinds of tagalog romance novel ever since when I am in my high school, I find pleasure reading romance pocketbooks.
